Kermit the Dog

Kermit the Dog is ready to bring boundless joy and goofy charm into your life! This sleek, brindle-striped boy is an estimated 2 years old and weighs around 44 lbs. He's the perfect size for adventures and cozy couch snuggles. Kermit is house-trained, crate-trained, and has excellent house manners, even being trusted to free-roam in his foster home. He's a good car rider and has a reliable recall. While new environments can make him a little timid at first, he quickly decompress and blossoms into an affectionate "Velcro boy" who adores being close to his people. He understands and responds well to boundaries and structure.

Ideal Home

Kermit would thrive in a home with an adopter who appreciates an energetic, sensitive dog with a big capacity for connection. He'd love someone who enjoys both playful outdoor time and quiet evenings on the couch. He needs a cat-free home, as he shows fearful reactions to cats.

Ongoing Health

Kermit is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Kermit is house-trained and crate-trained. He recalls well off food and toys. He can be a little timid in new environments but decompress quickly. He enjoys play with other dogs and is social with males and females of various sizes.

Kermit is located in Houston, TX. Transport is available nationwide through our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
