I'm Laverne, a beautiful chocolate brown pup with a sparkling golden gaze and legs that could carry me to supermodel status! My sister Shirley and I were rescued from a tough situation in southern Minnesota and have since been showered with all the comforts of a loving foster home. I love to run and play with my foster dog siblings, though I haven't quite mastered catching up to them yet! Potty training is a work in progress, but I'm trying my best, especially now that the warmer weather has arrived and I can enjoy being outside. I've also gotten used to sleeping in my kennel at night with cozy blankets and classical music – I don't even make a peep anymore! I'm learning "sit" and "stay," but sometimes get a little too excited to focus. I live with two human siblings, a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, and I think they adore me as much as I adore them. I've met many tiny humans at track meets, and they all seem to love me too! I haven't met any cats yet, so that would be a new experience. My foster family also includes two resident dogs, Blanche and Stanley, who I enjoy playing with. I'm a perfect mix of calm and cuddly, but also love to run and play. My dream day involves spending time with my humans or a canine companion, eating, lounging, and playing. I'm named after the TV show "Laverne and Shirley" and I love bones and tennis balls. I enjoy a good mix of cuddles and snoozes – a girl needs her beauty sleep! I get so excited when my humans come home or when it's time to eat. My dream family is one that enjoys being active but also values downtime and cuddles.
