Spike is a goofy, smart, playful, and happy guy who is simply grateful to be alive! He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and has been busy getting his heartworm treatment, making friends, and enjoying life. Now, his biggest wish is to find his very own family! He's good with other dogs, but he is a dominant boy, so he'd do best as an only dog or with a submissive canine friend. As a Husky, Spike is active and needs a family who understands the breed's needs, especially when it comes to being an escape artist and a prolific shedder! Spike would love to leave the Texas heat behind and is dreaming of cooler weather. He's ready for his forever home!
