Meet Honey!
Honey is a spunky, social, and outgoing 14–15 week old mixed breed puppy with a huge personality. She loves to be involved in everything, from playing with dog friends and exploring the outdoors to zooming around the yard or snuggling up beside you after a day of adventure.
Ideal Home
Honey would thrive in an active home that is familiar with puppies and dogs. She needs a family excited to channel her energy and intelligence in positive ways. Her athletic and driven personality means she'd likely excel at activities like hiking, dock diving, bite work, agility, or other enrichment-based training. Because of her intense puppy mouthiness and energetic nature, we recommend a home with teens or adults only.
Ongoing Health
Honey came to us with an old fracture to her patella. She gets around beautifully and currently needs no surgical or medical intervention. Hearts for Paws will work with veterinarians and the UC Davis fracture program if any intervention is needed in the future and will support her adopter through that process.
Training & Support
Honey has a harder mouth and more intense play style than many puppies her age, so she will need continued structure, training, and appropriate outlets as she grows. She has been left alone for up to about three hours in a puppy-proofed room with pee pads, but she is not fully house-trained yet and would do best in a home where she won’t regularly be left alone for long hours. Honey is not recommended for first-time dog owners.
