BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a sweet, loving personality. This 80-pound boy loves to cuddle, play with squeaky toys, and fetch. He enjoys exploring outdoors and settles down happily after an adventure. Baxter is affectionate, curious, independent, and very low-shedding.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along with other dogs and does especially well with female dogs. He is currently fostered with children ages 3 and 5, but because he is big and does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit. A home without cats or chickens would be best, as he is curious about them. He would enjoy an active family who likes outdoor adventures, followed by relaxing together at home.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He is scheduled for a full veterinary checkup to obtain a health certificate before travel.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained, and he is learning leash skills. He is not destructive and has not been a habitual chewer. He sits calmly for baths and enjoys drinking from a garden hose.
