Whitney Joy the Bunny Soft Sweetheart

Whitney Joy is a bunny-soft sweetheart with a smile that's impossible to resist! Her velvety fur, soulful eyes, and a unique ridge of fur down her back make her instantly endearing. She has the friendly, happy-go-lucky personality of a Lab, with an extra dose of gentle sweetness. Whitney is playful, affectionate, and brings an easy-going joy to everyday life. She's a 1-year-old, 52lb Lab mix who absolutely loves people and has no concept of strangers – connections with her are made in an instant! Whitney is also a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying playful romps and sharing toys once she feels comfortable. While she can be a little shy when meeting new canine friends, she quickly warms up and joins the fun. She was even respectful around a resident cat, showing no chase instinct. Whitney is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" and "down." She walks fairly well on leash but may pull occasionally out of excitement; consistent training will help her master leash manners. Whitney also showed great promise with a 5-year-old child, initially a bit reserved but quickly becoming cuddly and affectionate.

Ideal Home

Whitney would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can play and sunbathe. She'd enjoy having another playful dog companion to share adventures with, but she's also happy to be the sole focus of your affection.

Whitney is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Whitney is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like "sit" and "down." With consistent positive reinforcement, she will continue to improve her leash walking skills.

Transportation

Whitney is currently located in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A transportation surcharge of $87 applies. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
