Hello, my name is Shirley! I have striking amber, blue, or green eyes that are sure to capture your attention. My back paws look like they've been dipped in white paint, adding to my unique charm. I'm on the smaller side, but I'm packed with personality and not easily intimidated! My sister Laverne and I were rescued from a difficult situation in southern Minnesota and have since been showered with love and comfort in our foster home.
I'm a work in progress with potty training, but I'm a pro at ringing the bell to let you know I need to go out! I also sleep soundly in my kennel with cozy blankets and some calming classical piano music. I'm learning "sit" and "stay," though my excitement sometimes gets the best of me. I haven't had any formal training yet, but I'd love to attend puppy classes and socialize with other pups. I absolutely adore food and affection from my humans, and I'm sure I'll do anything for a treat once I master new tricks! I live harmoniously with my 12-year-old human sister and 14-year-old human brother, and I've had positive experiences meeting tiny humans at track meets. I haven't met any cats yet. My sister Laverne and I arrived together, and I also have two resident dog siblings: Blanche, a mellow 6-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix, and Stanley, an energetic 3-year-old Weimaraner/Pitbull mix who loves to play. I tend to be more dominant with Laverne and more submissive with Blanche and Stanley. We enjoy playing with toys, playing tug-of-war, and chasing tennis balls. I love to cuddle with anyone who will have me!
I'm a perfect blend of spunk, sass, playfulness, and love. I especially enjoy cuddling up close to my humans. My dream day involves lots of quality time with my favorite person, filled with eating, napping, playing, and more eating! I'm a lot like Shirley from the TV show "Laverne & Shirley" – sweet but can hold my own. My favorite toys include bones and tennis balls, but I'm not picky! I enjoy a mix of cuddles and snoozes, with a healthy emphasis on beauty sleep. I get incredibly wiggly and my tail wags uncontrollably when my humans come home or when food is involved!
