Huichol

Meet Huichol! He's a 6-month-old, 13 kg bundle of love who will grow into a medium to large-sized dog. Huichol was born in foster care after his mom was rescued from a dangerous situation. He's vaccinated and de-wormed, ready to find his forever home!

Huichol is a big baby who thinks he's still a tiny puppy. He adores cuddling, often leaning his entire body weight against you, and showers you with kisses. His personality is endearingly goofy and tender; win his heart with love and treats. He's very food motivated and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement training. He can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, taking a few minutes to warm up.

Ideal Home

Huichol would thrive in a home with friendly dogs and older children (12+). He's a bit scared of small kids, so a quieter environment with older youngsters is best. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. He is potty-trained with yard access.

Ongoing Health

Huichol is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been de-wormed.

Training & Support

Huichol is still learning leash manners around other dogs and new people, but he's making great progress with positive training and listens very well. He loves toys and car rides, and appears to enjoy playing in water.

Transporation

Huichol is located near Bucerias, Mexico. He can be transported to the US and Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport to welcome them home. During summer months, if a Canadian flight companion isn't available, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
