Mojo

Mojo is an 8½ year old male German Shepherd with a comeback story that is truly impressive. He and his mom were living abandoned in a pen in squalor, eating rats to survive. Mojo came to us in 2024 with his mom, both in physically poor condition and dealing with severe genetic hip issues. Mojo was almost crippled when he arrived, and walking was painful with limited movement. After successful bilateral hip surgeries, the results were nothing short of remarkable. Mojo is now living his best life, running like a fiend and clearly making up for lost time! He is wonderful with people, genuinely enjoys human company, and is affectionate, gentle, and a complete love sponge once he bonds with you. He is also good with other dogs, provided his canine friends are respectful and don't body slam him. Polite dog companions only, please.

Ideal Home

Mojo would thrive in a home with respectful dog companions and children over 10 who understand that dogs are not ponies. He needs a securely fenced yard and a home where significant stair walking won't be required, as fewer stairs would be ideal. Cats and any small animals are a firm no for Mojo.

Ongoing Health

Mojo has had two successful bilateral hip surgeries and is doing wonderfully.

Training & Support

Mojo is well-mannered, housebroken, and very easy to live with in the home. He knows how to settle, relax, and enjoy being part of a household.
