Marie is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees girl with all the classic hallmarks of her breed - long, fluffy white fur, and a heart full of sweetness. She came to us after being found chained to a house in Alabama, and while that past might hint at hardship, you'd never know it from the joyful, affectionate girl she is today. Marie is proof that love and patience can make all the difference. She's fully housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained, with excellent house manners and a playful, moderate energy level. She's working on her basic commands and is eager to please, which makes learning fun for everyone! She has zero interest in escape, digging, or barking.
Socially, Marie is a gem. She does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and truly thrives when she has a canine companion by her side - a fellow four-legged friend in her forever home would make her world complete. She's also great with kids, gets along fine with cats, and has even lived peacefully alongside chickens. When meeting new people she can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is pure sweetness and affection. Marie loves treats of all kinds (cheese, chicken, doggy ice cream, and popsicles are all on her approved list), and she's equally happy lounging in a warm patch of sunshine or cooling off on the kitchen tiles. She loves a good bath, enjoys outings to local stores, and has a refined taste in music - her foster reports she's a jazz fan. Whether curled up inside or out in the yard, wherever the other dogs are is exactly where Marie wants to be. Marie is an absolute treasure - loving, well-mannered, and so ready to give her whole heart to the right family.
