Dagger is a delightful 6.5-month-old Retriever/Pit Bull mix, weighing around 40 pounds with an estimated adult weight of a large dog. She's a spirited and affectionate girl with a unique dagger-shaped marking on her neck. Rescued from a rural area with her mother and littermates, Dagger has blossomed in a loving foster home, learning to be both playful and cuddly. She's potty trained and growing into a confident, loving companion who enjoys a good romp and then snuggling up for affection. Dagger is friendly with strangers, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has done well around children.
Ideal Home
Dagger is a talented escape artist, so a secure enclosure is a must! She also thrives with the companionship of another friendly, well-mannered dog to help guide her. If you don't have a resident dog, a clear plan for ongoing socialization and canine interaction is essential. Because she's still young, homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are preferred.
Ongoing Health
Dagger is a healthy young dog. As with all adolescent dogs, continued veterinary care and monitoring are recommended.
Training & Support
Dagger is a smart and adaptable puppy who is eager to please. She's looking for a family committed to positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice to help her mature into an exceptional adult dog. Ongoing socialization with new people, places, and friendly dogs is crucial for building her lifelong confidence.
