Fresco

I'm Fresco, and when you hear my story, you'll know why my name means "fresh start." I'm still just a youngster, but life was rough for me until I got to the Humane Society of York County. I lived my life outdoors on a tether and had no comforts - no toys, no bed, no one to hand out chest rubs and ear scratches. I didn't even have a name. But Project Safe Pet, a local rescue partner, advocated for me and worked with my owners to surrender me to HSYC. And wow, life sure got better fast! I have toys, playmates, air-conditioning, treats and lots of TLC from my human friends at the rescue. Bit by bit, I learned to trust people and realize what it means to be loved and cared for. The one thing I still need: a forever home where I'll be loved and cherished. I'm a terrier mix, about 45 to 50 pounds, and my estimated birth date is September 2025.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient person or family who will help me build trust. I'm a bit shy when meeting new people, but I just need a little time to feel comfortable and connect. I love other dogs and would be thrilled to have playmates to run and play with!
