Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is as sweet as she is playful. She's growing into her own, gaining confidence, and learning to channel her joyful energy into being the best girl she can be. Nona is built like a little tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She loves to zoom around the yard with her favorite toys and greets her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap when she comes home. Nona is all sweetness and loves to be near her people, happy to tag along wherever you go. Her whole body wiggles when she gets excited, and her tail goes a mile a minute. She loves meeting new friends and has been socializing at the dog park and with friendly strangers. Nona is clever and loves to solve puzzles, and she's motivated by toys and treats, making training fun. She's mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. Nona enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is fully crate and potty trained. She can be a shy watchdog, sounding the alarm if she hears or sees something unfamiliar. Nona has an adorable underbite that makes her goofy expressions even cuter. She is dog-friendly and gets along well with her foster siblings. Nona hasn't been around cats or kids in a home setting, but based on her personality, she'd do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she'd also be happy as your one-and-only. Nona is expected to fill out into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog.
