Silas McGruder is a handsome 12–18-month-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing 23 pounds. He has mesmerizing ice-blue eyes and a sweet personality. Rescued after living outdoors with many other dogs, Silas is enjoying indoor life and relaxing on the couch. He would make a wonderful companion for someone ready to help him continue building confidence and manners.

Ideal Home

Silas is great with other dogs in his foster home. His foster mom expects him to do well with slightly older children because he is still timid. No cats are currently in his foster home, so his compatibility with cats is unknown.

Ongoing Health

• Heartworm negative
• Vaccinated and microchipped
• Scheduled to be neutered on October 8

Training & Support

Silas’s house and leash manners are being worked on. His crate is clean and dry, and he is past the wild puppy stage.
