Marlow is a 15-month old Border Collie/Lab mix who is a super friendly, 75 lb bundle of joy ready to live life to the fullest! She has an incredible amount of energy and wants to play constantly. This agile girl absolutely loves to run and exercise, and can often be found doing somersaults on her toys (and sometimes even on the couch!). She's a goofball who will be the first to greet you at the door, and her antics are guaranteed to make you laugh every single day. While she can be a high-energy dog, she also knows how to settle down and relax, often matching the energy of the room.
Ideal Home
Marlow would thrive in a home that provides plenty of playtime and attention. She's looking for a family to be a part of, a sidekick for adventures, or even a job to do, like agility training. She is kid and dog-friendly, and enjoys having canine friends. However, she does tend to chase cats and has preyed on chickens, so a home without these animals would be ideal. She can also be food protective with other dogs and prefers to eat in her crate. While she's great with kids, she may need to brush up on her manners around very young children.
Ongoing Health
Marlow is a healthy girl with no known health conditions or behavioral issues. She is house-trained and sleeps soundly in her crate at night or when home alone. She also does not suffer from separation or storm anxiety.
Training & Support
Marlow is a very smart girl who learns quickly. She already knows commands such as SIT, LAY DOWN, GO TO BED, COME, EASY, and DROP IT. She communicates her needs to go outside by ringing bells on the sliding glass door or barking. A crucial piece of information for Marlow is that she is a master at destroying toys and will eat the pieces, so tough, durable toys are an absolute must. Supervision is recommended during playtime to ensure she only destroys her toys and not anything else. She also isn't a fan of being brushed. While generally affectionate, she's not a big daytime cuddler but will shower you with kisses in the morning and enjoys affection at night or in bed. She is loyal and eager to be with her human.
