Zuma (Behavioral Special Needs)

Zuma is a medium-sized terrier mix with a heart full of love waiting to be shared with the right person. She's a quiet, calm, and well-behaved girl indoors, with wonderful house manners. When she trusts you, Zuma is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and loving. She's looking for a special home with experienced and patient adopters who understand that building trust takes time. Zuma is fearful and reactive with new people, so she needs very slow and respectful introductions to feel safe and build her confidence at her own pace. She's currently supported by a dedicated foster mom who is helping her continue to adjust and thrive in a home environment. Zuma is searching for someone who will see her potential, respect her boundaries, and give her the stability and understanding she deserves.

Ideal Home

Zuma would do best in an adult-only home and will only be placed with adopters who do not have children and are not planning to have children in the future.

Ongoing Health

Zuma is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Zuma is fearful and reactive with new people and needs very slow, respectful introductions. She will likely need several meet and greets with any hopeful adopter before she can be taken to foster for a trial period.
