About Phoenix

Phoenix is a young, energetic teenager looking for his forever home. He's a playful, loyal, and affectionate boy weighing about 74 pounds, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Phoenix is smart, expressive, and happiest when he’s with his people and a trusted dog companion. He loves to run, play, and explore, and especially enjoys playing with dogs his own size. With unfamiliar dogs, Phoenix is curious but reserved and needs time to adjust, but he does not bark or act aggressively. He would do best in a home with another dog of similar size and energy. On leash, Phoenix walks well and is easy to control, though he may pull at times. He is friendly with people and enjoys attention, and has done very well around children, showing a gentle and playful side. Phoenix is fully house trained and crate trained, sleeps in his crate at night, and has no food aggression. His favorite toy is a squirrel! Phoenix does not like being alone for long periods and does best when another dog is home with him. Continued socialization, regular exercise, and mental stimulation will be important to keep him happy and confident.

Ideal Home

An active home with another dog of similar size, where he can get daily playtime, structure, and companionship. He is not a fan of dog parks or daycare.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned.

Training & Support

Phoenix is working on his leash skills and may pull at times. Continued socialization, regular exercise, and mental stimulation will be important for his happiness and confidence.
