Ivan is a year-and-a-half-old, 50-pound goofball who looks like he walked straight out of a dog-themed rom-com. He's all wiggly enthusiasm, silly charm, and sweet, squishy pittie/staffy-mix (rescue guess!) good looks, complete with those giant radar-dish ears that turn him into the cutest little deer when he's curious. Ivan LOVES life! He adores toys of all kinds and has a particular fondness for a large herding ball, which he "body-checks" with athletic prowess. Fetch is his favorite game, though he might occasionally decide to keep the toy himself. He also loves water and will joyfully chase a hose like he's starring in a summer splash commercial. Ivan is a sweet, affectionate boy who warms up quickly. He's not one to jump all over you initially, tending to be a bit aloof at first. But once he's decided you're his person, he melts into you like warm cookie dough, eager for belly rubs, snuggles, and will even try to crawl into your lap despite his size! He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a fun and rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playing but can also set boundaries. He responds very well to dogs who offer clear social cues. He needs a feline-free home, as he views cats as fun sprinting targets. While he's super sweet with humans, he's still young and energetic, so older children who won't be knocked over during zoomies would be ideal. He could learn to give younger children space with time. He'll do best with a yard to burn energy, an active adopter, and someone who enjoys training and play, offering clear boundaries and routine.
