Butterscotch

Meet our precious Butterscotch! She is a 1-year-old, 12 lb Papillon/Corgi mix who is a survivor of the Riverside Shelter. Butterscotch is a sweet, resilient, and strong girl with a beautiful smile and an even more beautiful spirit. She loves chew toys and is very treat motivated. She is also dog and cat friendly, and has done well with children. Butterscotch will bring her new family lots of love and joy.

Ideal Home

Butterscotch will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and dedicated to helping her navigate her challenges. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7.

Ongoing Health

Butterscotch has a seizure disorder and is currently undergoing a new treatment to find the best approach to control them. She experiences both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen.

Training & Support

Butterscotch is treat motivated, which will be a great asset in her training. Her new family will need patience and dedication to help her manage her ongoing health needs.
