Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull Terrier mix who weighs around 45 pounds. She's a sweet and gentle girl who is learning what it means to be a loved house dog. After a tough start on the streets, Addie is now in a foster home and is blossoming, proving that a dog's resilience can overcome even the harshest circumstances. She's a willing and promising pupil, eager to experience life's joys.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and play, and she would love a male dog sibling of equal to larger size (40-60 lbs) to cuddle with. She also enjoys couches, as she is currently enjoying her "Soft Life Era"! While she may do well with older, calmer children, supervised interactions are recommended for any children until everyone is comfortable.
Ongoing Health
Addie was rescued from the streets suffering from mange and severe underweight. She has since received treatment and is recovering well.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and sleeps soundly in her crate at night and during the day while her foster is at work. While she has not had accidents recently, she is still perfecting her house skills and may have occasional accidents as she adjusts to her new routine. She is very food motivated and will try to eat other pets' food, so feeding her separately is recommended. She is learning to wait for her meals and is improving with this.
