Avery is kennel and potty trained. She is dog-friendly. We offer adopters 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. All adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group.

- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff.
Transportation
Avery is located in Houston, TX, and transportation is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations for transported dogs may vary and can include nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. You must be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
