Romina is a beautiful, spirited pup with a heart as big as her playful personality! At about 1 year and 8 months old and weighing 57 lbs, she's ready to charm her way into your life. Romina had a rough start, found abandoned and injured, but thanks to some amazing care, she's made a wonderful recovery. She has an old, healed hip fracture that makes one leg a little shorter, but it certainly doesn't slow her down! She loves to run, chase toys, and enjoys treats. Romina is incredibly loyal, curious, and affectionate with her people. She gets along well with other dogs and has experience living with cats, though she can be a bit boisterous in play, so supervision is recommended. She's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of kids and adults alike. Romina is used to her crate, walks nicely on a leash, and has a strong bark! As a young dog, she enjoys chewing, so a home that can offer structure, playtime, and lots of love will help her thrive.
Ideal Home
Romina would do best in a home with a tall, fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families with prior experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are highly encouraged. She also needs a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups and an understanding of the needs of street animals. Romina is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Romina has fully recovered from an old hip fracture and is current on all her vetting, including spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test, heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra. She also has a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Romina is not house-trained and enjoys chewing, so she will need consistent structure, playtime, and guidance. She is used to sleeping in her crate and walks nicely on a leash. Her strong bark means she enjoys joining in on doggy conversations. Patience and understanding are crucial, as rescued dogs may need an adjustment period to build trust and adapt to a new environment.

Transporation
Romina is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on an upcoming cross-country trip. Transportation is available door-to-door for a fee of $400 USD. Updates on her journey will be provided via a private Facebook Messenger group.
