Goyito is a small Schnauzer mix with a huge heart, approximately 3-4 years old and weighing around 12 lbs. He's a cheerful, playful, and affectionate companion who is always ready with kisses and cuddles. Goyito gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, men, and women. While he might be a little nervous and bark initially when meeting new people, his true sweet nature shines through once he feels safe and secure.
This brave pup has a resilient spirit. He was once abandoned by his family and faced the hardships of street life, even surviving being hit by a car. Despite these difficult experiences, Goyito never lost his joyful outlook or his capacity for love. Now, he is safe, obedient, and brimming with affection, just waiting for a loving family to give him the forever home he deserves. Adopting Goyito means offering peace to a soul that never stopped believing in the power of love.
Ideal Home
Goyito would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a securely fenced backyard. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals, and experience with dog behavior and training, or a strong willingness to hire a trainer. A high tolerance for patience and understanding is essential.
Ongoing Health
Goyito has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. He has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX diseases and is up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Nexgard Spectra. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that rescued dogs like Goyito are not typically house-trained. He will require patience, consistent training, and clear boundaries to help him feel secure and adapt to his new environment. His history of abandonment and trauma means he will need time and understanding to build trust and strengthen his bond with his new family.
