Meet Hippo! This handsome boy is a big personality in a little body! In the home, Hippo is lazy, mellow, affectionate, and quite the couch potato. However, once he’s outside, he loves going to the beach, car rides, and exploring new places. He’s a great vacation companion and was even house-trained in a hotel room during a trip to Vegas! Hippo is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He’s looking for an active, adventurous soulmate to take him on fun adventures and help him live life to the fullest, especially after a challenging time at the shelter.

Ideal Home

Hippo needs a strong handler who is confident and can guide him. He can be vocal towards small dogs on walks, so his person should be comfortable redirecting him and exuding pack leader confidence.

Ongoing Health

Hippo is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

With slow introductions and a few weeks of crate training, Hippo can become comfortable with other dogs in the home. He learned to get along with the dogs in his foster home this way and has been great with them since.
