Genie is a 9-year-old, 60 lb Heeler mix with a heart full of love and a mind full of cleverness. She's incredibly intelligent and knows a remarkable amount of commands, including sit, stay, lay down, shake, and roll over! Genie thrives on interaction and would be an amazing companion for someone who enjoys an engaging and smart dog. Her favorite activities include long walks, outdoor adventures, playing with squeaky toys and sticks, and, of course, cozy snuggles. She's also a big fan of treats and a good cheese run to Buc-ees! Despite her active spirit, Genie is a total cuddle bug who cherishes being close to her person. She’s potty trained and crate trained, walks well on leash, and is full of funny quirks and personality. Genie is hoping to find the person who sees how special she is – when she bonds with you, she'll be an incredibly devoted best friend.
Ideal Home
Genie would thrive in an adult-only home as the only dog. While she may coexist with a calm cat, she is not a fit for homes with children or small animals. She needs a patient, confident adopter who understands independent dogs and will let her settle in at her own pace, respecting her boundaries.
