Meet Troy! This gorgeous 4.5-year-old shepherd mix is a true sweetheart who has been passed around a bit too much. Troy was returned to a previous rescue for being too anxious in a kennel environment, but we know he's a loving boy who just needs the right home. He's intelligent, energetic, and thrives with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Troy walks well on a leash and is diligently working on his household manners. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and hasn't met a stranger he doesn't like! This big guy is also a huge fan of the hose and loves to play in the water. Troy is ready to give his all to a loving adopter and deserves a life filled with joy and stability. We promised Troy that the rest of his life would be the best of his life – could you be the one to make that promise come true?

Troy needs a home that can provide him with the mental and physical stimulation he craves. He does not do well in kennel environments.

Troy is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Troy is working hard on learning his household manners and walks well on a leash. He is an intelligent boy who will benefit from continued training and enrichment.

Transportation

Troy is located in South Carolina and transport to the northeast is available weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
