Buttons is a gentle, pint-sized companion who is ready to fill your home with quiet devotion. He's as cute as a button and weighs a delicate 8 pounds. Buttons is a uniquely quiet and calm little guy who rarely barks. The loud, chaotic environment of a rescue can be overwhelming for his sensitive soul, but he truly blossoms when things are peaceful. He loves to burrow into soft, warm blankets and play with his toys. While he is still learning the ropes of housebreaking, he does go potty immediately when taken outside and settles nicely in his crate at night. He also rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. A small quirk Buttons has is that sometimes his emotions get the best of him, leading to tiny "happy puddles" or "stage fright sprinkles" when he's nervous or excited. This little habit is expected to decrease as he settles into a secure and predictable routine. Buttons is a sweet, tender-hearted young dog who needs a quiet corner of the world to call his own.

Ideal Home

Buttons is looking for a quiet, low-key forever home where he can relax and let his true personality shine. A calm household would be his dream come true, as loud noises and high energy can make him nervous. He does well with other smaller dogs who match his gentle demeanor.

Ongoing Health

Buttons is fully vetted, neutered, and up-to-date on all essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He will be microchipped and receive a fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate within 10 days of his transport date.

Training & Support

Buttons is crate trained and enjoys sleeping in his crate at night. He is still working on housebreaking and will need a patient adopter willing to help him establish a good routine. He may occasionally have "happy puddles" or "stage fright sprinkles" when nervous or excited, which is a habit his rescue friends hope will taper off as he settles into a routine.

Adopters must be available at the scheduled transport time and location.
