If you’ve ever seen a little kid try to whistle, it’s a pretty hilarious sight! There’s typically a lot of spitting, sputtering, squeaks and squeals. But when they finally get it, they’re so proud, and you can hardly get them to stop! Much like a kid learning this new skill, we’ve got a pup named Whistle who is learning what it means to be adored! He came into the shelter as a pretty shy pup and his volunteer friends are showing him that people aren't so scary. Here’s what some of them have said: “I worked with Whistle this morning. He was nervous in his kennel but easy to leash. He walked well to the park, albeit a little cautious. He initially avoided touch as we sat down together in the grass, but eventually allowed some touch and pets. We had a good walk back and he was easy to unleash.” “Whistle is such a sweet boy even though he’s shy. After getting leashed, he walked well to the play yard. He took treats gently and tolerated light pets. He’s getting better with each outing.” Whistle feels pretty overwhelmed in the shelter and can’t wait to get into a home where he can relax, rest from the constant noise, and get some patient TLC! He’s hoping for a home without small animals and may benefit from having a confident furry friend who can show him the ropes in a home. Whistle is a young boy with so much potential- give him a chance and we believe he will continue to open up in a loving home. Please ask about him today!
