Penny

Penny is truly the sweetest family dog, a calm and gentle pit bull mix with a beautiful copper-colored coat. She is very affectionate and loves people, especially when receiving pets and belly rubs. Penny spent six months at the Carson animal shelter before being rescued and has been with her foster mom for over four months. She's happy just sitting next to her family and enjoys short walks and lounging in the sun.

Ideal Home

Penny would be an amazing family dog! She is not a fan of long walks, but enjoys short ones. While she's not the best with other dogs, she may be able to live with another calm, large dog with some training.

Ongoing Health

Penny has some skin allergies and is regularly treated with Apoquel. She currently eats a mix of plant-based and fish-based food.

Training & Support

Penny is house-trained and knows some tricks. She may need some help with socialization if introduced to other dogs.
