Meet Michelle! This sweet 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix weighs around 48 pounds and is ready for her forever home. Michelle was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is now thriving in her foster home in Houston, Texas, eagerly awaiting transport to her approved adopter. She's a friendly, affectionate, and social girl who adores her canine foster siblings, enjoying playtime and naps with them. While she can be enthusiastic during play, she's learning to adjust her behavior and is never aggressive. Michelle has a good balance of playful energy outdoors and settles beautifully indoors, making her a happy and mellow house companion. She's been wonderful with children ages 8 and up, but due to her occasional excited jumping, a home with kids 12+ or dog-savvy teens would be ideal.
Ideal Home
Michelle would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and a family that can offer her love, structure, and playtime. She would do great in an apartment or urban setting as long as she gets consistent exercise and enrichment. A secure yard or leash walks are a must due to her tendency to scale fences.

Training & Support
Michelle is fully housebroken and crate trained, even choosing to rest in her crate during the day. She is very food motivated and learns quickly, though she is still working on her manners. She can be sneaky around food, so she is fed separately and benefits from guidance at snack time. She responds well to redirection. Michelle walks fairly well on leash but tends to pull; continued leash training and structure will help her improve. She loves to chew, especially on outdoor items, so supervision and crate time when unsupervised are important.
