You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
Hello! My name is Anne, and while some call me Annie or Anne-cakes, I'm really the ideal Black and Tan Coonhound mix for anyone who loves the spirit of hounds but not the slobber! I'm a medium-sized girl, weighing in at 40 pounds, and I'm full of sweet, happy-go-lucky energy. Like most hounds, I make a great watchdog with a lovely, country-hound bellow to announce visitors. If you're not a fan of my vocalizations, a blocked view is all it takes to quiet me down. I'm easy-going, calm, and gentle, and I love meeting new people and dogs. My beautiful black and brown coloring, gentle eyes, sweet smile, and soft, floppy ears always get compliments. I'm a low-shedder and I'm a good girl during baths. I'm very affectionate and love to be petted, but I'm also independent and happy to amuse myself or nap in the sun. I do well in my crate and would be happy as the only dog or with canine companions, though I'm not a fan of rowdy puppies. I adore car rides, long walks, and exploring new places like hiking trails or just the neighborhood. I'm very motivated by food, praise, and affection, making me eager to learn new skills!
Ideal Home
I would make a great dog for a family with older children, a couple, or a single person. My previous foster mom mentioned I enjoyed digging when left alone outside, so if I'm to go out alone, a securely fenced yard with ground-level reinforcement would be ideal. Otherwise, I'd love for you to hang out with me when I go out for potty breaks or fun!

I've been spayed and am up-to-date on all my shots and vet care.

I know I could use some help learning how to walk nicely on a leash without pulling.
