About Sonny

Hi, I’m Sonny! A one-year-old black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I weigh about 50 pounds and was born on February 2, 2025. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and I’m learning more every day about how to be the best boy I can be.

I’m a sweet, loving pup who absolutely adores being near my humans. I’ll happily give you hugs and follow you around just to be close. I’m great with kids, especially the little ones, and I love being outside—whether it’s exploring the yard or soaking up the sunshine.

I get along well with other dogs, though I’m still figuring out how to behave around big ones. My foster’s dogs are 70–80 pounds, and they intimidate me a bit. I also sometimes try to hump female dogs, but that behavior should settle down after I’m neutered at the end of October.

I’m a chewer, so I need supervision and a crate free of tempting items. But I’m very sweet and eager to learn, and I’ll make someone a truly wonderful companion. I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still a mystery, but I can be cat tested if needed.

Ideal Home

A home with plenty of love and sunshine to soak up! Sonny enjoys being close to his humans and has a lot of love to give. He's great with kids, but can be a little intimidated by larger dogs.
