Meet Wheezy! This four-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart is as devoted and affectionate as they come. With a beautiful snowy white coat, warm golden patches, and striking icy blue eyes, Wheezy is a true beauty with a heart to match. She's a loyal, cuddly, and playful companion who loves to be close to her people, whether that's snuggling on the couch or engaging in some gentle, enthusiastic roughhousing. When she's content, Wheezy makes adorable little wheezing and oinking sounds, just like a happy piglet, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
Ideal Home
Wheezy would thrive as the only pet in the home. She can be reactive towards other animals and isn't comfortable sharing her space. In a pet-free environment, she truly shines, showing her affectionate, playful, and deeply devoted nature. Wheezy can be a little shy with new people, needing about 10 to 15 minutes to warm up. She may bark initially, but offering a bit of wet food helps her feel comfortable quickly. Once she bonds with you, she'll be your constant shadow, happily seeking affection. Wheezy is not currently compatible with homes with young children.
Ongoing Health
Wheezy receives Venlafaxine to help manage stress and reactivity, which has been very beneficial. She also follows a special diet to manage food sensitivities, ensuring she feels her best. Vet visits require some preparation and pre-visit medication, but with this support, she handles them well.
Training & Support
Wheezy is a smart girl who thrives on connection! She is fully house-trained, knows several commands (sit, shake, place, free, and wait), and learns new skills quickly. She's enthusiastic during play but remains gentle and responds immediately when asked to calm down. She has made significant progress with leash walking; while she used to react strongly to dogs across the street, she can now pass them with only a brief reaction before moving on. With the right precautions, walks have become much more enjoyable. An experienced adopter would be ideal for Wheezy.
