Meet Michelle Thompson. My name is Michelle Thompson. I’m from Edwardsville, IL and I breed pugs. I’m a wife and mother. I originally became a pug owner because my 5 year old son begged me to get him a puppy for his birthday and he wanted his very own Rolly just like Rolly on his favorite cartoon, Puppy Dog Pals. So for his 6th birthday, we brought Rolly home and he brought so much joy to our household. He was full of spunk and personality. Every pug owner we talked to said pugs are so much happier when they have a playmate so when Rolly was 3 months old, we brought Molly home. She isn’t as rambunctious. She’s quite the cuddle buddy. She and Rolly complement each other so well. They spend their days chasing my son, stealing toys from one another and being mischievous. And, they love taking long, lazy naps...that is, until they hear someone having a snack! Everyone that sees our precious pugs insists that we should breed them. I was unsure if we should, but was definitely considering the idea. So I did my research, read everything I could find on the subject, talked to experienced breeders, and got advice from the veterinarian. Now that they are all here, it will be sad to see them go. We just hope they bring as much joy to their new homes as we have had in ours. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
