If sweetness had a face, it would be Sugar. At around 6 months old, Sugar is believed to be a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever mix. This beautiful blonde girl has a heart of gold and is ready to spend her whole life loving her forever family. With her soft golden coat, soulful eyes, and an adorable black button nose, Sugar is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Her personality truly steals the show; she's the definition of a "Velcro dog" and forms deep bonds with her people, wanting nothing more than to be wherever you are. She absolutely loves being close to her humans and is happiest soaking up all the love and affection she can get. Sugar is wonderfully dog-friendly and would love a home with another playful pup to grow up with, but she would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. Like any young puppy, Sugar is curious and can be a little intimidated by new things, but once she settles in and feels safe, her confidence blossoms. She's a gentle, thoughtful girl who looks to her humans for reassurance, making the bond you build with her incredibly special. Sugar is loyal, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving – the type of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail and happily curl up beside you at night.
Ideal Home
Sugar would love a home with another playful dog, but would also be happy as the only pet. She is still learning about the world and may be a little intimidated by new things, so a patient and reassuring home is ideal.

Transportation
Sugar is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
