Lewis

Meet Lewis, a sweet 6-year-old liver roan female German Shorthaired Pointer who is looking for her forever home! Lewis's current family is relocating due to military orders and unfortunately can no longer keep her. She was purchased as a puppy from a farmer in Southeast Kansas and has been a beloved member of the family ever since. Lewis is house-trained, potty-trained, and crate-trained, with some existing leash training. She's happy to play indoors or outdoors with her human companions.

Ideal Home

Lewis would do best in a home without children under the age of 8 due to food aggression. She is also not a good fit for homes with cats or dogs that guard their resources. She has done well with some female dogs and enjoys playing with children.

Ongoing Health

Lewis is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Lewis can be food aggressive, so it's important to manage her meals in a way that prevents conflict, especially in a home with younger children. While she's generally good with kids and some female dogs, careful introductions will be key.
