Missy Pawfect is a sweet, intelligent female Great Pyrenees mix, born on June 12, 2024. She is tri-colored in ivory, beige, and cream. Missy came into rescue with her puppies and did an amazing job raising them. Now that her babies are finding their forever homes, it's Missy's turn! She is still learning that the world is a safe place and can be shy and fearful of new people, situations, or surroundings, but she handles these moments with gentleness, choosing to avoid what worries her. Missy is becoming more playful and enjoys being outdoors, with her curiosity slowly outweighing her fear. Once she trusts you, her affectionate side shines through.
Ideal Home
Missy would thrive in a calm, patient household with experienced owners who understand that building trust takes time. A securely fenced yard is important, as she can be a flight risk when frightened. She would do best in a home that allows her to settle in at her own pace and celebrates her progress without rushing her.
Ongoing Health
All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply.
Training & Support
Missy is crate trained and potty trained, indicating when she needs to go outside and not having indoor accidents. She rides well in the car. She appreciates having a safe, quiet place to retreat during storms, as they can be scary for her.

Transportation
Missy is located in Wood River, IL. Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US.
