Ritchey Roo, affectionately known as Richard, is an estimated 5-6 year old, 90lb bundle of joy! This magnificent hound mix is the epitome of a "good boy," with a personality that's as rich and varied as his looks. One moment he's a laid-back couch potato, content to lounge with his favorite humans, and the next he's a jubilant goofball, ready for adventure. He's a true people-pleaser, thriving on affection and company. Richard is house-trained and handles being left alone like a champ, even finding comfort in his own space. While he might be a bit of a food enthusiast and can get overly excited with leash or food in hand, he's a gentle soul at heart. He's even mastered the "OVER" command, ensuring he gives his humans their space in bed! Richard isn't one for toys or fetch, but he adores car rides and walks, though he does require some leash training as he can be a strong puller.
Ideal Home
Richard would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy his bursts of energy. He's looking for a home where he can be the one and only spoiled pup, as he's not a fan of other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Richard came to us underweight, and while he's gained healthy weight, he could benefit from a diet and increased physical activity to reach his ideal physique.
Training & Support
While house-trained, Richard can be a bit of a food-motivated jumper and enthusiastically pulls on the leash. He'll benefit from continued leash training and reinforcement of his "OVER" command. He can also be vocal when he has something to say, but it's usually for a good reason and quite humorous!
