Shadow Mini Hershey Kisses

Meet Shadow! This 1-year-old Black Lab and Pitbull mix is 45 pounds of pure affection and playful energy. Shadow immediately wants to be your best friend, showering her people with tail wags and puppy kisses. She loves a good cuddle session and especially enjoys booty scratches! Shadow is a smart pup who knows simple commands and is eager to learn more, especially with her treat motivation. She's also potty trained and walks well on a leash for 10-20 minutes. When it comes to playtime, Shadow is a toy enthusiast, enjoying both solo play and a rousing game of tug-of-war.

Ideal Home

Shadow would thrive in a home with a yard where she can play, but she could also do well in an apartment with proper exercise and enrichment. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely benefit from a canine companion to help build her confidence, preferably a calm to medium-energy dog that enjoys play without being overly boisterous. Shadow can be a bit too playful for cats, so a cat-free home would be best. While she's great with kids, her bouncy puppy energy means older children would be the best fit.

Shadow is still mastering her leash manners and will improve with time and consistency. She is very treat motivated, which will make training fun and rewarding.

Transporation

Shadow is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a private Facebook event page for adopters. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
