Zeke

Hi there! My name is Zeke. I'm a sweet, senior gentleman, about 8-9 years young, who loves a good walk, a gentle belly rub, and quality time with my favorite humans. I'm still a spry pup and can easily go for a five-mile stroll! I was adopted in 2017 and returned in 2021. My previous family had an in-home daycare, and the children weren't always respectful of my boundaries, which sometimes led to me getting nippy. To keep everyone safe, I was moved to the basement. Since returning to the shelter, I've settled into a great routine and made many new friends with the staff!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a very experienced owner who is familiar with managing "stranger danger," resource guarding, and bond-building with dogs. While I have dog friends here at the shelter, I would need to meet and approve of any potential canine companions before we go home together.

Ongoing Health

I'm a healthy senior boy! I am neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I would benefit from an owner who can help me continue to build trust and manage my guarding tendencies. Patience and understanding will go a long way in helping me settle into my new home.
