Ashton is a pure delight of an oversized lap dog with the most expressive ears! He's such a good, sweet boy who loves human attention and despite his size, loves to sit in his people’s laps. You can see his intelligence at work as he raises those ears up and down in an effort to take in everything you’re saying. He's a terrific dog who’s not only loving and affectionate but smart, alert, loyal, and athletic - all-star qualities that are guaranteed to make him a fantastic companion. Ashton was rescued as an abandoned stray, all alone and looking for a human to love. He was ecstatic when he received human contact, so full of joy to be receiving love and attention, it was obvious it was something he was longing for. We knew right away he would make someone very happy. If you are looking for an intelligent, loyal, athletic, true companion that will not only soak up all the love and attention you give him but will gleefully return it, then Ashton is your boy. He loves to give kisses and be with people. He makes friends easily through his charming ways. If you're sitting, Ashton will surely ask to be in your lap. He's waiting to spread his happy love and can't wait to be snuggled up next to his person, being the best friend you could ever dream of. His affectionate personality is endearing, and he's a smart boy who will bond and learn quickly.
Ideal Home
Ashton would thrive in a home with daily physical and mental activity, so an outdoorsy person who goes on brisk daily walks or hikes would be a great fit. He can be a bit excitable around other dogs, so we recommend a home without another dog, at least in the beginning. No cats, please.

Ashton is up to date with age-appropriate vaccinations, is micro-chipped, and neutered. His estimated birth is around January 2023, and his weight is currently 55 lbs.
