A little about them
Meet Phoebe, a sweet, affectionate Great Dane with a gentle heart and an adorable happy dance. She loves being close to her people, curling up on a soft dog bed, enjoying belly rubs, and exploring life at her own pace.
Ideal Home
Phoebe gets along well with children, cats, and chickens. She has not met many dogs yet, but her gentle, submissive personality may allow her to do well with slow introductions. She is shy around men at first and would thrive with a patient family. Because she can slip on slick floors, carpet or rugs would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Phoebe was rescued severely malnourished after a heavy tick and flea infestation caused parasites, muscle weakness, and neurological issues. She has been treated, is recovering well, and continues to gain strength. Her neurological condition gives her a wobbly walk, and she may occasionally need help keeping her balance while going potty.
Training & Support
Phoebe is completely house-trained, uses a doggy door, and rings bells when she wants to go outside. She can stay home alone for several hours, rides well in the car, rarely barks, and has no food aggression. She loves to run, explore, and reward her people with affection, loyalty, and sweet little dances.
