DAVE

Dave is a dog who likes to take his time getting the lay of the land. He's an independent fellow who enjoys exploring his surroundings, checking out every interesting scent, and making sure he hasn't missed a thing. Once he's had a chance to satisfy his curiosity, you'll start to see his softer side. He'll wander over for a quick sniff, offer a gentle lick, or greet you with a loose wag before heading back to his important investigative work. It's a quiet kind of companionship that feels genuine, and it's easy to imagine him enjoying leisurely walks with someone who appreciates his thoughtful pace. Dave has become more comfortable with people during his stay, happily heading out for walks and handling routine leashing with ease. He appears to be around 4 to 6 years old.

Dave is looking for someone who will let him build trust at his own pace and enjoy him for the unique, steady companion he is.

Ongoing Health

Dave has some ear scabbing that is being monitored, along with slightly overgrown nails and some dental tartar. He will be vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving our care.

Training & Support

While some situations, especially veterinary handling, have been overwhelming for him, he's continued to show that given patience and a little space, he settles in and becomes much more relaxed. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
