Duncan

Duncan is a sweetheart of a boy, approximately 1 year old and weighing in at 19 lbs. His DNA shows he's a delightful mix of breeds, with a strong hint of Chihuahua! He's a quiet and well-behaved companion who loves to play with his squeaky toys and shower his favorite people with affection and attention.

Ideal Home

Duncan enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely do well in a home with canine companions. He seems to be pretty well house-trained and does a good job on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training to refine these skills. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

When Duncan was rescued, he tested positive for heartworms. He has since undergone treatment following The American Heartworm Society protocols. Typically, dogs treated this way test negative within 4 to 6 months. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is a smart boy who is already doing pretty well with house training and leash manners. A little extra training and consistency will help him become even more confident in these areas.
