Blaze

This handsome boy is Blaze! He's a 1-year-old, 62 lb sweetheart who was rescued as the sole survivor of a litter of 10. Blaze has been living in a foster home since his rescue, where he's learned to sit, fetch, and has enjoyed playing with the neighborhood teenagers. He's used to a fenced backyard for zoomies and gets along with his neighborly Yorkshire terrier friend. Blaze is a smart, affectionate boy who craves cuddles and is eager to please. He's moderately energetic and would love an active family to provide him with the physical and mental stimulation he needs.

Ideal Home

Blaze would do best with an active family who can provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He would likely love children, but given his size and strength, he'd be best with older, sturdy kids who won't be accidentally knocked over.

Ongoing Health

Blaze is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Blaze has had minimal leash training due to his strength and needs further guidance to walk gently without pulling. He's familiar with a harness and leash but requires an adopter committed to consistent training. He responds exceptionally well to affection and positive reinforcement.

Transportation

Blaze is currently located in Arkansas. Transport is available to the New England area. Adopters must be able to pick up in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays or arrange for someone to pick up on their behalf.
