Chippy is a bundle of puppy-like energy, estimated to be around 4 years old, though his playful spirit suggests he might be even younger or is just making up for lost puppy fun! He's been neutered and has recovered beautifully. Chippy is incredibly active and thrives on exploring, so a secure backyard for his zoomies is a must. He's a smart cookie, but his curiosity can lead to some mischievous fun, like "borrowing" your belongings for a chase game!
Ideal Home
Chippy needs a home with a securely fenced yard for his zoomies and adventures. He also needs constant supervision due to his escape artist tendencies. He'd be happiest in an active household where he can join his family on outings and explorations. Because he is a runner and an escape artist, he does not do well being locked up or behind gates and will do everything in his power to get out. He also does not do well being crated. Chippy would likely do best in a home without children under 12. He is a little skittish meeting new people and will need patience before he is comfortable with being picked up. He would benefit from having at least one other young, active dog to play with.
Ongoing Health
Chippy has been neutered and has healed well. He is still working on his house training and can sometimes mark indoors, though he tolerates wearing a belly band. He does seem to shed a moderate amount, which may be due to his puppy coat.
Training & Support
Chippy is a fast learner and has already mastered leash walking. He loves to roll in the grass! He is still working on potty training and house-training. He is an escape artist, so close supervision is key to prevent him from getting into mischief or trying to get out of the house.
