Meet Missy! This sweet, approximately 4-year-old, 45-pound pitbull mix is ready to find a loving home of her own. She was found as a stray but has so much love to give. Missy is fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, is quiet and well-mannered indoors, and does wonderfully when left alone for several hours. She has done well with cats and children, but would prefer a forever home with no other dogs. Her favorite activities include sleeping, enjoying tasty snacks, and soaking up calm companionship. She's incredibly cuddly, self-sufficient, and has a soothing presence that makes her a perfect match for someone looking for a low-key, loving companion. If you're looking for a dog with a heart of gold and a calm, gentle soul, Missy just might be your girl.
Ideal Home
Missy would prefer a home with no other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Missy is spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.
Training & Support
Missy is a well-mannered girl who is already potty trained and walks nicely on a leash.

- An application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt.
- Due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

Missy is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. She is available to be seen at adoption events.
