Hi there! I'm Jenny, a very pretty German Shepherd mix with topaz eyes and a gorgeous coat, mostly black with a white chest and brindle legs. I am about 2 years old, weigh 45 lbs, and I was picked up as a stray by the San Antonio city kill shelter and set for euthanasia when, thankfully, a rescue decided to save my life. I am now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, extremely grateful, and ready for a much better future!
I am a sweet, friendly, and energetic country girl who loves the outdoors, exploring, running, going for walks, and riding in a car or truck for any adventure. When the weather is hot, I'll be cooling off in a pool or just a big tub of water! I'm not fussy. I'm great with people and other dogs, not interested in cats, and not into dog toys, but I love having my pretty coat brushed. My foster mom says I am very attentive to my people, curious, smart, and eager to please, and when I'm free to roam and explore, a calm and peaceful energy comes over me... my happy place for sure. I am affectionate but not kissy. I don't dig or jump, and I'm not afraid of loud noises or thunderstorms. A crate or small enclosed space is not for me. I need room to breathe and just be me... sweet and happy.
Ideal Home
Jenny would love an active home where she can explore and enjoy the outdoors. She enjoys running, going for walks, and adventures in the car. She's also happy to cool off in water on hot days. She is great with people and other dogs, but not interested in cats. She does not like crates or small enclosed spaces and needs room to roam.

Transportation
Jenny is located in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast, and transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.
