Denver

Denver is a sweet, resilient terrier mix with a heart of gold and a spirit that won't quit! Her mom is a Schnauzer/Pittie mix, and her dad is a Catahoula. Denver was adopted at 10 weeks old and unfortunately broke her leg shortly after. After a week of waiting for treatment, she underwent a full amputation of her right front leg. She was returned because she initially had trouble with stairs, but she's now a pro at navigating them in her foster home! Denver doesn't let her missing leg slow her down one bit. She's currently 28lbs at 5 months old and is expected to be around 65lbs when fully grown.

Ideal Home

Denver would thrive in an active home with an abundance of exercise opportunities. She loves playing with other dogs and her toys, and especially enjoys a game of fetch in the backyard.

Ongoing Health

Denver is a tripod and has had a full amputation of her right front leg.

Training & Support

Denver is doing really well with potty training and is working on a schedule. She is also crate trained and sleeps soundly in her crate at night without any issues. She loves people, but can exhibit submissive urination if she's unsure of intentions, though this has significantly decreased in her foster home. Denver is a "Velcro dog" who enjoys being near her people and is content to relax with a toy. She is still learning manners and has already mastered "sit."
