Izzy is a gentle, loving, and sweet grey-muzzled girl looking for a peaceful environment to call home. At 6 years old, she still enjoys going on walks and playing with her toys, but for the most part, she just likes to hang out and sunbathe. She's a polite girl, eager to please, and will approach you with the sweetest eyes asking for pets and affection. She can be shy with new people at first, especially men, and needs a slow approach. She warms up fairly quickly and will soon be asking for pets. Izzy has a ton of love to give a lucky adopter. Izzy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Ideal Home
Izzy would do best in a quieter home with structure and routine, as loud noises can make her anxious. She has lived with cats and did well, mostly ignoring them. She would do best as the only dog in the household as she has previously lived with a dog but has not enjoyed the company of other dogs. Izzy is suggested for children in their teens and up due to her nervousness at times and anxiety with loud noises.
Ongoing Health
Izzy is scheduled for surgery on her leg on July 9th and will be recovering with her established foster home. She is still available for meet and greets until her surgery, but she will not go into a new home until after her surgery recovery is complete. This is for her comfort and healing, as the surgery will undoubtedly be stressful for her, and she is already comfortable in her current foster home, which will make her recovery easier.
Training & Support
Izzy is fully housetrained and does great in a crate. She walks nicely on-leash.
